ALAN<\/strong> is an Italian bicycle manufacturer founded in 1972<\/strong> by engineer Lodovico Falconi<\/strong>.
The brand name \u201cALAN\u201d<\/strong> comes from the first two letters of his children\u2019s names: AL<\/strong>berto and AN<\/strong>namaria.<\/p>\n

ALAN was a pioneer in the use of aerospace-grade aluminum<\/strong> for bicycle frames, introducing an innovative construction method in which tubes were bonded (glued) into lugs<\/strong> instead of being welded. This technique became a hallmark of the brand.<\/p>\n

In 1976<\/strong>, ALAN was among the first companies to produce a carbon-fiber frame<\/strong>, using Toray carbon tubes bonded to aluminum lugs<\/strong>\u2014a revolutionary concept at the time.<\/p>\n

Over the decades, ALAN frames achieved great success in cyclocross<\/strong>, earning multiple World Championship titles<\/strong> thanks to their lightweight construction and responsive ride quality.<\/p>\n
